Message : ...and that's the kind of data that it would take to convince me. I'm just playing the critic on this one, especially since everyone seems to dance around buying tires when it comes to drag racing.

I forgot to mention that I totally agree with you about buying tires. Getting better tires is without a doubt the most cost-effective way to go about it if someone just wants something 100% for the drag strip. The great thing about the TC though is for people who only go to the track occasionally, it works awesome for the remaining 99% of driving time on the street. :)

: Did you make *no* other changes when you experienced the 1.1 second improvement? No other changes over the course of such a long time? Did you just drive better, for instance? These are questions that would shed some light....

That's correct... there were absolutely no further changes between the 1.1 sec improvement. I *did* have about 7000 more miles on my new engine, so *perhaps* there may have been some gain in power due to break-in... but it's extremely doubtful that it would've been enough to give a 1.1 sec improvement. I wish I could claim I was a better driver over the year... hehe... but, I didn't go up to the track during that year, so I didn't have any practice and thus didn't improve my driving. :) Again, this 1.1 sec should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm probably a very bad drag racer. Any good driver with 530rwhp should be able to break into the 11's... I was only doing 13's... lol. But, I guess that's the whole point of traction control... if we could all drive like Mario Andretti or John Force, we wouldn't need it. It gives us average (or below average) drivers a decent chance. :)
